Why Solar Street Lights Are a Smart Choice for Roads and Campuses

Solar street lights need no cables and no electricity bill. See why villages, societies and campuses are switching to them.

Solar street lights charge from the sun during the day and switch on automatically at dusk. Because they do not need trenching, cables or a grid connection, they are quick to install and ideal for villages, highways, parks, housing societies and school or factory campuses.

Each light has a solar panel, a battery, an LED lamp and a controller. The controller manages charging and turns the light on and off, and many models can dim the light late at night to save battery.

The main benefits are zero electricity bill, no risk from power cuts, and low maintenance. LED lamps last for a long time and use little power, so the light stays bright through the night.

When selecting a street light, look at the lamp wattage, battery capacity, the number of backup nights and the pole height. The light should be placed where the panel gets full sunlight without shade from trees or buildings.

Regular cleaning of the panel and a basic check of the battery are usually all that is needed. Get in touch with us for a site survey and a suitable street light plan.
